In the early 1920´s the need for a church parsonage was identified and solicitation for building funds and construction services began. The cost estimate for the new building was estimated to be $2000. Construction began and the building was completed in early October of 1920. An article in the Record Journal of October 8th described the project as "A comfortable parsonage for the minister of the Community M.E. Church."
After its use as a parsonage was discontinued, the building was used for various different activities of the church for many years. In 1996 both the parsonage and the Ruth Memorial M.E. church buildings were sold to the Town of Parker. By that time the building was in need of extensive repairs. In 1997 the town explored the idea of leasing it to the Parker Area Historical Society for use as an official home for P.A.H.S, as well as a small historical museum. However, the town eventually came to the conclusion that the costs to bring the building up to a habitable condition were just too high, and the building was demolished in 2003.

Location: The Parsonage was formerly located .21 miles East of the intersection of Parker Mainstreet and Colorado highway 83. It was on the South side of Mainstreet, adjacent to the Ruth Memorial Chapel.
